A Much Needed Win For Bagan Against Defending Champions Aizawl

Mohun Bagan faced defending champions Aizawl FC in an all important encounter at the Yuva Bharati Krirangan under their new head coach Shankarlal Chakraborty today. The match ended in favour of the Mariners with a scoreline of 2-0.
The first goal came as a horrible mistake from Aizawl defender Masih Saighani who outstretched his leg to deny Dicka a finish on the cross but ended up inside his own goal. The next goal came in the 76th minute of the game and was scored by Dicka.
This result is a sigh of relief for Mohun Bagan who got back to winning ways after a spell of draws and defeat in their last match. This win takes them to the fourth spot in the table with 13 points after 8 matches played.
