The Mariners thumped Food Corporation with a scoreline of 5-0. Their star striker Dipanda Dicka scored a hat-trick. Pintu Mahata and Kima Kingsley scored the other two.
East Bengal were shocked by Peerless as the Red and Gold brigade succumbed to a 2-1 defeat. Former Mariner Kromah gave Peerless the lead (6′) . Aidara equalized for East Bengal at the later stages of the second half (71′). Within 6 minutes, Narahari Shesthra netted the second for Peerless which turned out to be the winner.
