FIFA has decided to honour the path breaking 1911IFA SHIELD Mohun Bagan side when they begin ticketing for the U-17 World Cup

FIFA has come up with a thoughtful way to kick-start the U-17 World Cup proceedings when they begin selling tickets for the showpiece event in India from May 16.
In a planned tribute to Mohun Bagan’s memorable win over Yorkshire regiment on 29th July, 1911 – the Federation has decided to begin selling tickets for the footballing gala at exactly 19:11 hours (7:11 PM) on Thursday in mid May.
By virtue of defeating a British team, the Mariners became the first ever side comprising solely of Indian players to beat their colonial masters.
