Mohun Bagan 3 – 1 Pune FC
Mohun Bagan thrashed the league leaders by a comprehensive margin. Mohun Bagan was dominating through out the game. Odafa once again proved his worth and gave the mariners a reason to smile just before Federation Cup. Odafa Okolie scored the opening goal in the 30th minute and Ram Malik doubled the advantage in the 75th minute. Four minutes later, Thongkhosiem Haokip scored for the visitors before Odafa settled the game with a strike in the 88th minute.
Sporting Clube de Goa 1 – 0 United Sports Club
Goa once again proved their dominance in modern era of Indian football as they beat United Sports Club. Rojen Singh scored the only goal of the match. With this win Oscar Bruzon’s side maintain their 100 percent win record of this month.
Shillong Lajong 2 – 1 Dempo SC
Dempo continued their bad run in this edition of I-League losing at Shillong. With this win Shillong Lajong comes close to third place Pune FC. Shillong opened the score sheet with a goal from a spot kick. It came within last 5 minutes of the first half and Ongnam Milan Singh did not lose the opportunity to put his team ahead in the first half. Though Jeje Lalpekhlua equalized in the 60 minute but Haokip gave Lajong the lead in 4 minutes.
Bengaluru FC 2 – 1 Salgaocar FC
Bengaluru FC will remain the supreme name of I-League. They needed three points to remain on top of the I-League and they did that in style. The match almost ended 1-0 in favor of the home team with the goal of Sunil Chetri from penalty spot. But Olivera gave Salgaocar a chance to fight back on the 85th minute. As they match slipped into the regulation time, referee awarded the home team a penalty and Robin Singh made no mistake score. Bengaluru FC have already proved that they can be new but they are nothing lesser than the big clubs and in Federation Cup also they will give tough fight to put their hands on the prestigious cup.
