Major Setback Towards Title Race As Mohun Bagan Drop Points Against Rainbow

Mohun Bagan lost crucial points when they faced newly promoted NBP Rainbow at their club ground.The Green and Maroon brigade could only manage a 1-1 draw against them. For the first time fans were furious and the referee had to to be escorted in a police vehicle.Bagan missed a lot of chances which cost them the match.Both Kamo and Kromah wasted many scoring opportunities and Lyndoh suffered a serious head injury today.28^th minute saw Mohun Bagan trailing after a brilliant header from Suraj Mahato.The Mariners went to half time, trailing 1-0.In the 60^th minute, Kamo’s rebound shot was set to the back of the net by Kromah.In the  second half too, both the teams missed lots of chances as the game ended 1-1.Mohun Bagan are to face Mohammedan Sporting Club  for the mini-derby in their next match on 10th September.
