West Bengal Government To Promote World Cup

The government of West Bengal is giving their best efforts to help school and college students to watch the FIFA U17 World Cup matches at the Salt Lake Stadium, scheduled to start from next month onwards.

They are doing all kinds of arrangements to provide free passes to around 5,000 school and college students, to watch all the 10 matches of the tournament, including the final which will be played at the Mecca of Indian football on October 26.The state education department has already written to the transport department requesting for AC and non-AC buses for transporting the students to and from the Salt Lake stadium.Arrangements have also been made to provide food and accommodation to the students coming to watch the matches.

As the capital state of Indian football, this is quite an encouraging initiative taken by the state government to involve the youth attraction  for the world cup and promoting this tournament as well.
